Children's Law Center offers an unparalleled level of expertise in a highly specialized area of the law and provides a unique opportunity for attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and administrative staff who wish to assist in the representation of abused and neglected children in our foster care system. Practicing in dependency court requires proficiency in a variety of areas -- child development, special education, community resources, substance abuse, social work and investigation, domestic violence, grief and mourning, public benefits, health care, negotiation and mediation skills, legal research and writing, and trial skills.
