The CSEC Attorney at Children’s Law Center of California provides specialized legal advocacy for children and youth who have experienced or are at risk of commercial sexual exploitation. In this role, the attorney represents clients in court and in the community, advocates for trauma-informed services and placements, prepares motions and legal documents, and conducts comprehensive case investigations to support each client’s safety and well-being. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the CSEC Attorney collaborates closely with social workers, investigators, service providers, and system partners to develop individualized legal strategies and connect clients to critical resources. This position requires strong courtroom advocacy, sound legal judgment, and a deep commitment to client-directed representation, while building trusted relationships that empower youth and promote healing, stability, and long-term success.

The Attorney at Children’s Law Center of California provides high-quality legal representation for children and youth involved in the dependency system. In this role, the attorney advocates for clients both in court and in the community, prepares motions and legal documents, conducts thorough case investigations, and develops effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Attorney collaborates with social workers, investigators, caregivers, service providers, and community partners to ensure clients receive the services and support they need to thrive. 2026 Fall Intern
The Fall Intern at Children’s Law Center of California gains hands-on experience supporting children and youth involved in the dependency system while working alongside attorneys, social work investigators, and other dedicated professionals. In this role, the intern assists with client communication, court observation, case file management, legal and social work support, and special projects that advance CLC’s mission. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Fall Intern develops a deeper understanding of child welfare law, trauma-informed advocacy, and client-centered representation through meaningful, real-world experiences. This internship is ideal for individuals seeking to build professional skills, explore careers in public interest and child welfare, and make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.
