Thank you to our CLC friends for making our first ever Plant and Sip a success! Plant with Purpose, held in historic Old Sacramento, was a fantastic kick-off to our Big Day of Giving efforts. Our attorneys, social work investigators, peer advocates, and support staff work tirelessly to ensure our clients are happy, healthy, and safe every day. Meet Our MC
Courtney Dempsey, Good Day Sacramento AnchorCourtney Dempsey joined the CW31 staff in August of 1995 where she is an anchor for Good Day, a live and interactive morning show. She started her career by working part-time while attending Sacramento State University and joined the team full-time upon graduation. Courtney trained in various forms of dance for more than 30 years, dancing for several professional ensembles. Though she no longer performs, she has a passion for the art and uses her training in her church’s praise dance ministry. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Jack & Jill of America, and a life member of Sacramento State Alumni, Courtney stays active in the community. She has a beautiful daughter and is married to a wonderful man who understands her shopping habits.

During Big Day of Giving, our region will rally around the nonprofits that make the capital area our home—and that can use support, now more than ever. On Thursday, May 5, you can visit the Big Day of Giving site and give to Children’s Law Center of California, in support of our mission to support children and youth in foster care.Â
