We Are Grateful For Your Support!
As we reflect on the past month, we have so much to be grateful for this season. On October 19th, hundreds of CLC friends and supporters joined us at our annual Art of Advocacy Gala at the UCLA Luskin Center. The event was a success beyond our imagination! We continue to be in awe of our community of donors, who consistently show up to ensure our young clients and their caregivers have access to school supplies, warm clothing, baby care essentials, funding for extra-curricular activities, and more.
Our Uplift with a Gift Program has kicked off – and we are already receiving an outpouring of generosity. We need your help! There are hundreds of children waiting to be matched with a donor! The holiday season can be difficult for children and youth in the foster care system. With your participation, we can make the season a little bit brighter. Please consider sponsoring a family or purchasing a gift for a child in need of holiday cheer. We are accepting donations until Friday, December 14th. Read more below about how to get involved.

LA Mayor Karen Bass Makes Big Announcement!
Mayor Karen Bass revealed big news to the audience at the Art of Advocacy Gala! During her speech, she announced a partnership between CLC and the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to provide case management services for our older clients to access desperately needed housing and benefits. Mayor Bass is a longtime champion for the children we serve and we are so grateful to have such strong support from our local government. Watch the full video of her remarks here.
Gifts From The Heart
Thank you to everyone who gave from the heart at The Art of Advocacy Gala!
The first 50 donors received a beautiful heart paperweight from the Getty Store.
The Parisian Night paperweights were handblown by Master Glassblower April Wagner. Each is made of hot-sculpted glass, and finished with a heart stamp.
We hope the hearts continue to remind our generous guests of an unforgettable evening and for making a difference for children in foster care!Â
